Opening Hours/ General:
Mon - Sat 8.00 am - 6.00 pm & Sundays 9.00 am - 12.00 (Noon). Arrivals & departures STRICTLY within these times. The kennels are closed to visitors outside these times.
For safety cats and other small animals should arrive in a suitable carrier and dogs leashed.
Small animals such as mice/ hamsters etc. will require to have their own cage provided.
The kennels do not accept any responsibility for pets until they are safely within their own boarding environment.
The kennels do not accept any responsibility for damage to or loss of vehicles or possessions while on site.
The kennels reserve the right to refuse entry to any pets for any reason, even upon arrival.
Health:
Owners to inform the kennels, in advance, of any medical condition or injury to ensure that it will be acceptable for boarding. Owners authorise kennel management to contact the owners veterinary practice regarding any existing or fresh medical condition and/or to confirm vaccination details.
Pets with, or suspected of having, any medical condition, infectious disease (including such as flea or worm infestation) or injury, not previously agreed by the kennels may be refused entry, even on arrival.
All pets should be treated against Worm’s and Flea’s at least two weeks before arrival.
In the event of actual or suspected injury or illness whilst boarding the services of a qualified veterinary surgeon may be sought at our discretion. Owners remain liable for any treatment and associated transportation costs so incurred unless such injury or illness resulted from negligence on the part of the kennels. In the event of bereavement, the kennels will attempt to contact the owner or nominated emergency contact but if unable to do so appropriate arrangements will be made through a qualified veterinary practice. Any associated costs will be the responsibility of the owner.
Suitable insurance cover is strongly advised to cover any medical fees.
Vaccinations:
Original veterinary certificates should be produced for inspection by kennel staff before any pet will be admitted into the kennels. If the vaccination certificate/ book is lost or unavailable we can contact the vet by phone prior to arrival to confirm vaccinations are up to date. This can also be done upon arrival providing arrival is within regular opening hours of your vet. Entry will be refused, even on the day of arrival, to any pet that up to date vaccinations cannot be proven.
Dogs/Cats:
Annual vaccinations must be up to date. In the case of vaccinations having to be re-started after lapsing or for first time vaccinations we cannot take any pet in until a week after the second injection. Dogs also require the kennel cough vaccination to be current and it is recommended to be done at least 2 weeks prior to arrival. If the kennel cough vaccination has been given less than 5 days before arrival we cannot take the dog into the kennels.
Rabbits:
It is advised that owners have their pets vaccinated.
BOOKINGS/ RESERVATIONS:
A Deposit may be requested at the time of booking. The deposit is non-refundable for any reason.
Bookings of 4 days or less, or made within 14 days of the requested arrival date, should be paid in full at the time of booking.
Rates are charged per day and apply from arrival date up to and including departure date regardless of the actual time of arrival/collection. All accounts must be settled in full before the return of any pets.
Payments are accepted by Debit/Credit Card (excluding American Express), Cash or Cheque or via BACS.
Cancellation:
There will be no cancellation charges applied for bookings cancelled more than 14 days prior to arrival (deposits are still non-refundable). For bookings or part thereof cancelled between 14 – 7 days of arrival 50 % of the entire boarding fee will be due to be paid. For bookings or part thereof cancelled within 7 days of arrival or in the event of the pet not being presented for boarding the entire boarding fee will be due to be paid. Refunds due for any pre-paid bookings cancelled in accordance with the above will be paid by cheque or BACS within 3 days of notification of cancellation.
Suitable insurance cover is strongly advised to cover cancellation fees.
Abandonment:
Any pet not collected within 14 days of the agreed collection date may be re-homed. Owners remain liable for their boarding fees regardless of such action being taken up to such time as the animal has been successfully re-homed or collected by its owner.
